Just 7 days... 1 week until I leave!
Good news is, I've secured accommodation in the area Sant'Agostino; I'll be living in a modern and comfortable apartment with two other girls, just one metro stop from the university I'll be attending and less than 2km from the Duomo.
Even better, I have found out about a bar where I can continue my Tuesday night salsa/bachata/merengue outings =]
No bags are packed yet, the thought both excites and frightens me - the scary bit being simply having to choose what not to bring with me.
The other day I was asked what I'd miss most about Australia. I have to admit that I really enjoy and will miss the open mindedness of Australians, the universal acceptance in a young society with no homogenous culture or identity.
I'm very looking forward to going now. I'll be picked up from my aunty, on her birthday. Soon after I'll be going to my cousin's Confirmation. A short trip to Milan is planned for the 11th Feb, but I'll be properly moving into the apartment on the 20th. Unfortunately moving back and forth between Milan and Conegliano (Veneto) to see my family is not going to be cheap. But no matter what, carpe diem! =]
